Black and White

  1. i think the composition and placement of the subject in the first photo is interesting. it's an interesting way to look at something ordinary. in the black and white one, i like the subject matter, but i wish there was more contrast in different values of the greys.

  2. Complementary; Nice composition, nice focal point of the pentagon top, the silver on the left is a little overbearing. nice natural complementary colors

B&W: i feel the blacks and white both to be pushed a little farther for more contrast, to make a stronger photo

  3. I like the top one, it has great contrasting colors, the bottom one could use more contrast and maybe a more interesting composition. The fact that her head is cropped out makes my eyes drawn to her shirt for some reason

  4. I love the composition and unconventional angle of your top photo but I agree with the previous comments on your black and white photo. It's a decent image but would be better with a stronger contrast.

  5. I like the color one and the emphasis on the red using a more dulled off green. The black and white one, as has been stated, needs more contrast between some areas. I also wish her poor head wasn't cut off.

  6. Your color photo really stands out and the placement is nice. I agree with everyone else that more contrast would be nice. Cutting or cropping a body part off (such as the head) gives it less emphasis an importance and as a result, draws the eyes elsewhere (in this case, to the shirt).

  7. Good chroma on the first. I don't know where to focus my eye though.

  8. I really like the colors used in the first one. nice example of analogous color scheme. The second one could be compositionally improved i think. my eye doesnt really know where to go
