I really like how different these two portraits are! The first one is so deep and pensive and the second one is so happy, even though the colors you chose seem to be slightly muted.
I think you have done an excellent job creating mood with your chosen color harmonies. Both would lack something if they didn't have the color harmonies you used. Good work!
Great job with both images! I love the two different moods created and the way that you posed your models goes perfectly with it. I really love your colored image especially. It's so fun to look at!
Very nice contrast on your black and white photo. It adds a nice texture and look to the image. Your complementary colors are nice tones that work well together. Nice rule of third usage.
B+W Nice composition. The subject is clearly framed and stands out due to your broad range of values. However, the left side of the piece is a bit washed out and competes for attention since it's the lightest part of the piece. If that area was nearly the same value as the other hand/arm of the model, then your focal point would be really clear, whereas currently my eye gets confused.
Color Fun image, nice placement of the subject, nice color contrast and balance. I would be careful of the tangents happening between her elbows and the vertical shadows of the background; picky, but it would strengthen the piece.

ReplyDeleteboth photos have great lighting and i love how the mood matches the color palettes for both. the black and white is very moody and sentimental
ReplyDeleteI really like your complementary color one! I think it's very effective. I like that the subject is slightly tilted, creating an eye path.
ReplyDeleteComplementary: great colors, good composition, fun piece
ReplyDeleteB&W good blance, of dark and lights, maybe too exposed on the left side.
I love the colors you used on your colored on, and great use of the rule of thirds

ReplyDeleteI like the B&W one, but I do wish there was a bit more contrast between the hair and the hand, just to separate it a bit.
ReplyDeleteYour complementary colors image is great! The colors pull together the image and make it fun and playful. Nice job!
