  2. I love how you chose to frame your subjects. The top one is a great fresh take on typical grand canyon photos, and completely demolishes that cliche feeling that often accompanies them. I like how in the second one you used the absence of color to make a sleek, classy feel without completely removing all warmth. Great job

  3. I agree with Amelia, you did a great job with your framing and composition of your Moab picture. Its a great, natural use of complementary colors. Good work!

  4. Black and White uses the rule of thirds well. The hand seems to be the focal point and the necklace and arm help guide your eye. Top left corner is distracting.

  5. I really like your use of value in your black and white photo. I think that it really is more successful without color. You've got your darkest darks and lightest lights next to each other to create an amazing contrast.

  6. Complementary: great natural color combination. great framing, rocks make great leading lines to keep your eye moving.

B&W: great contrast and focal point. might be stronger if you crop in a little tighter

  9. Very nice for both photos. I love the contrast of the pure, pearl white on black for your second image. On your first image, the further out perspective puts the emphasis on the rock arch itself, which adds more appreciation for the rock arch seen through it in the distance as well.

  11. Color
Lovely complimentary palette happening, and excellent use of framing in the composition. It's pretty successful overall. I only wish that the elements being framed by the rock were more interesting -- the actual rock surrounding the background is more interesting to look at than the background, so my eye gets confused as to what's more important. That seems to be because of the lighting happening, etc. Maybe if you could light the background a bit more so the rocks standout (if you were God, that is; I realize you're limited when it comes to, you know, nature.)

Interesting composition and nice use of contrast. I like how you cropped off the model as well, however the right side of the picture traps my eye. The high contrast between the model's shirt and the sidewalk in the background have such a high contrast that they really compete for my attention...and my eye has trouble arriving back at your focal point.
